What we collect and why
- Your order details (name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, what you bought): to supply your order, send you updates and handle returns. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- Payment: handled by Stripe, which receives your card details directly. We receive only the payment confirmation.
- Messages you send us: to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing customer service.
- Records of sales: kept for 6 years because tax law requires it. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Who we share it with
- Our suppliers and their delivery companies: your name, delivery address and phone number, so your order can be sent to you straight from the supplier’s warehouse. We buy from our suppliers through eBay, so these details also pass through eBay (eBay (UK) Limited).
- Stripe, to take payment.
- Hostinger, which hosts this website.
We never sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
Cookies
The shop uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as remembering your basket. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Order and accounting records: 6 years. Messages: up to 2 years after our last contact. Everything else is deleted when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email autoscansoftware@gmail.com. If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
